During and after swimming practice, experience, burning painful in my diaphragm, between the lower rib cage. I have never swum in a computer before and practices are quite intense. (Two hours of swimming right). Is it acid reflux? If yes, what do I do that? I found drinking a glass of water with baking soda is useful but does not completely solve the problem. If non-acid reflux, what else could it be? Today, the pain was so bad I had to stop swimming, and four hours later, still very painful. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Cooking Ribs

Pork ribs are purchased in blocks, consisting of about 15 bones in each slab. A shelf is reduced half slab (6-8 bones). The ribs are four categories, defined by the location of the rib cage of pork cut from:

Country Style ... they are more like pork chops and not considered a true rib ... pork chop shaped bone. At the other end lower back. Sold in pieces.

LOMO back .... This is the section closest to the spine .. where is located the net .. The short and highly curved bone. Sold in slabs or half slabs (racks) and usually weigh 2 and down (1.75 to 2 pounds per plate). (The back just a baby back baby back pork or pork .. 85 # Babyback dressed slabs usually weigh 1 3 / 4 and below. Sold in slabs, is a gourmet meat cut ....)

SPARE PARTS .... more than half and the bottom of the ribcage. The parts are flat oval bones. Largest categories .. rib and generally a piece of meat in the bottom of the hill, known as the chest, or the tip, which is cut before cooking. Usually weighs 3 and down. COOKING RIBS

The two most critical points of cooking any type of BBQ is .... .... time and at low temperature and slow! That's how I prepare Odds competition:

I chose the loin and down about 2 ... and keep them iced down (not frozen) before the time of cooking. As I begin my Heat the grill and get warm. about 180 F, take the ribs and place on a table to get closer to room temperature. (as you would with any meat grilled or barbecued). I have a slab and remove the membrane from twisting and bending of the slab like an accordion, and place it on a flat slab and running small Phillips head screwdriver down a bone in the center of the slab, carefully separates the bones of the membrane (also known as sebum). Of work sheet screwdriver slowly sideways on one end of the slab, until a space big enough for my finger to enter the pocket created between the bone and the membrane. I work with care at the opposite end of the plate .. until two, then three fingers of the other later .... Then I got up and away from the middle of the slab ... This pulls the membrane away from the center of the slab and slowly releases the slab ... until it binds only the tip .... Simply lift the membrane and remove it. Remember to take your time to the first .. and becomes easier to do what you say. Works just the membrane slowly and try to eliminate it in one piece, so some tears and stays on the slab, do not worry .. forget it. You do not get this part .. but worth it! Simply remove the membranes in LOMO'S BACK! Parts parts are darned near impossible to eliminate completely!

Next .. I cut the two end bones off each end ... leaving a slab of 12 bones. I do it because it is more beautiful, best cook, and sometimes there are bone fragments in the tips, no fun for the judges to bite! So ... while the fire continued heating, I Squirt some Italian dressing on both sides of ribs. This adds a unique flavor and gives some rubbing dry stick in the ribs while smoking. Then sprinkle dry massage on both sides of the slab. Try OLD Bay seasoning, the section on seafood Kroger in the case of meat. All condiments used Rendezvous Bay is old, with a few grains of crushed white pepper! You can create your own dry rub from scratch, not spicy or mild. This is the fun part of ribs .. testing problem. You not to rub the spice, just sprinkle on top, bottom (if you go out membrane) ends and across the slab. A good rule of thumb is to ensure that no red meat is visible unspiced anywhere! WARNING: Stay away from large quantities of salt in your rub, it draws moisture out of this delicate cut of meat, and it dries! The sugar is caramelized RUB during cooking and turn black ribs unnecessarily. Leave the brush to about 10 minutes before putting in the grill tables.

NEVER place the side of ribs meat during cooking, always put the slab BONE SIDE to the fire, you should rotate your slabs if the fire is hotter on one side of the grid to another ... blocks or rotate 180 degrees, but not move from their starting points, etc. The fact is, do not expose the meat in a warm setting on the grid for long time, but prevent rotation, so that all pieces get some hot spots!

If you cook on a gas grill is imperative do the following:

Bake at as low temperature. As you can without the burner flame. Cook, as far from the call that we may, if a double burner, put meat on the dark side, for example. FLAIRUPS AVOID! Remember .. temperatureYou time and should submit to the smoked meat, BBQ or not. Period. Use hardwood pellets or moistened Chips of hickory or mesquite combo applied to your lava rocks. Oak is fine. Do not use softwoods like pine or cedar .. Resin can pass toxins in meat and make everyone sick. Smoke flavoring is provided to meat in the first 2 hours and temperatures of 200F. Excessive smoking can only serve to denigrate the flesh, or dominate the smoke flavor. After two hours, seal meat and nothing else can penetrate the meat ... so that temporary workers are low so important to play BBQ spices and smoke more deeply into the flesh, from the beginning. If you can not teach smoked meat, there is an alternative ... Marinate ribs in large Ziploc freezer bags for two panels to make a cup of Worcestershire sauce, half cup of marinade wicker and a spoon tablespoons liquid smoke, a product found in the same section as wicker. .. Marinate overnight or for at least 8 hours before applying RUB dry. It gives a bad taste, but it's better than no smoke flavor.

Cooking time:

It should take about 6 hours at 200 degrees (get a oven thermometer and place on the grid next to the meat ... This is the thermometer to pay attention to!) or 5 hours at 225 or 4 hours at 250. Never cook THAN 250F! Everything they do at this temp. is the gate, and can be successfully grill any cut of ribs except for country style ribs.

The implementation of smoke for the first 2 hours. After an hour, sprinkle ribs with any what! Beer, wine, basketry, baste pork Gramma's favorite Whatever ... Do not try ribs!

After two hours of smoking, wrap each slab DUTY aluminum foil. Be careful not to make holes in aluminum foil. This process is steam which is the secret part that makes the ribs so tender. In order to tenderize the meat, pour a 1 / 3 cup marinade or a liquid citric acid (OJ or pineapple juice works best) in the foil over the meat, before carefully sealing the top of the page. Wrap tight BUT WATCH holes in the foil. Double or triple adjustment, if necessary! Therefore, the aluminum foil extra heavy is so important. Cook another 2 hours of material at depths of time and 1.5 hours if the kitchen 250.

NOTE: At the end of the foil process, opening the blade of a slab to inspect, look for bones shining at you ... This means they smoke too fast and immediately remove from the grill! If most of the meat on top of the slab, right. After 1.5 to 2 hours in the film, take a slab of the gate and open the spreadsheet. Watch for hot steam! When you see the small amount of Black Liquid (fat) bottom blade, which is the signal to remove tiles from the sheet. That black stuff is called "pig taste" that good rib cooks replace with BBQ flavor pure. If you're not careful, the fluid is reabsorbed literally black in meat, making a little more "Porky" in taste. Sometimes my stack of plates on their side ... like dominos to allow to reduce the fat slabs at the bottom of the sheet. Again, beware of holes in the paper Aluminum!

At the appropriate time, remove the foil and place the tiles in the network .... what happens in the kitchen and the company until the coast if they were too soft. Approximately 30 minutes before serving ... paintbrush in a mixture of:

8 parts BBQ Sauce (Cattleman's, Kraft or your own recipe will do) 2 parts honey some RUB (to taste)

Not so if you prefer a dry side ... SWAB IT ON if you want a wet side.

When the ribs are done, remove from grill and let cool for about 10 minutes (as again, you must do with all grilled foods) before serving. Just before serving, lightly dust the slabs with dry friction. Cut into 3 or 4 pieces bone, and enjoy! Make sure you have plenty of hot wet Towlettes or strips of cloth soaked in lemon juice, set the sticky fingers. Serve with bread or Texas French Toast, bean salad and potato, with a barbecue sauce with those who prefer.

The ribs can be frozen after cooking. Wrap in a film or foil and freeze. Leave in foil on the grill if you plan to freeze and cook later. This requires the last hour of cooking / Finish will be made in the heating oven at a later date.

To cook frozen ribs, remove from freezer and let thaw for two hours. Aluminum foil wrapped and placed in an oven at 220 for 45 minutes are almost as good as fresh from the grill! Do not forget the salsa!

Pasta: The Italian Staple in an American Soil

As the low-carb craze fizzles away, pasta, the indispensable Italian dish, ought to have a pleasant repackaging to the American diet. Fresh & Dried Pasta

Pasta can either be hard and dry (pasta secca) or freshly made (pasta fresca). The former consists of semolina and durum wheat while the latter is of eggs and flour. Do you know that Italian law dictates that pasta secca must be made with a hundred percent durum semolina flour? This has been the norm embraced by top pasta makers, only the worst uses otherwise. This is proof that pasta is indeed, a serious business in Italy.

Pasta Shapes & Sizes

An array of pasta shapes and sizes can be found in almost any part of the world. It could be long, short, or filled. These varieties are versatile, ergo, can adapt to different sauces and mixtures although certain pasta pairs much better with specific sauces. Generally, thick and chunky sauces adhere well to pasta that have ridges or lining in them. Tubular pasta is also suited for this specific type of sauce. As for the lighter, more delicate sauces, this is more suited to unlined or stuffed pasta. But bear in mind that there are always exceptions to the rule.

The Ingredients

Among the Americans, there is usually the misconception that marinara sauce is the traditional accompaniment to any pasta dish. Tomatoes may be ubiquitous, but a lot of Italian pasta specialities do not have tomatoes in them. For the Italian aficionado, it is basic knowledge that cuisines created in Italian kitchens require that only fresh ingredients be used. With that said, pasta recipes change with the season to fully enjoy nature's bounty.

You may opt to add mushrooms or beans; add a few knobs of butter or a few splashes of cream. You can even throw in a vegetable medley for a hearty meal. The only rule is that it should be fresh and in season.

The Rules

Pasta is a staple tradition that may be savoured in many ways; alla amatriciana, alla carbonara, al pomodoro, but there is one way people don't appreciate it: overcooked! Pasta that has no bite in it is not only upsetting but utterly horrible as well. And this is not just from an Italian's POV. In here, timing is essential.

Time. Al dente (literally means to the tooth) is a term used to describe a food that is entirely cooked but not mushy and overdone. Cooking al dente necessitates one to taste (and bite on) the pasta a couple minutes earlier before the package tells that it is ready. So unless you would want to serve mush for dinner, better keep an eye on your timer.

Simplicity. Sauces are meant to coat the pasta and not to drown them. The sophistication found in Italian cuisine lies in the plainness of the method using a couple of cleverly combined ingredients and herbs that compliment the pasta and not over power the same.

Controlled Portion. Italians do eat a lot of carbs, but they are happy, healthy individuals. And it is also worth mentioning that they consume carbs balanced with proteins and fats. In Italy, pasta is usually eaten as primo piatto (first course), meaning the main course, which is usually a healthy fish dish or a lean meat, has yet to come.

With this knowledge, you may want to try your hands on cooking and serving the perfect pasta.

Advantages of Burning Wood or Coal on Grate Vs. No Grate or Sand

If you burn coal on sand or just ashes from a previous fire, it would be nearly impossible to burn. Coal requires air under the fire or it will not ignite. Wood will burn without a grate but very imperfectly. There is a small amount of oxygen (air) in wood. Just enough to make a smoldering fire to create a great deal of creosote and smoke in your heating appliance, smoke pipe and chimney. To burn wood or coal on sand or just plain steel is similar to burning garbage in a barrel. If you ever try it you will have a very smokey fire because there will be a lack of oxygen (air). Unless you cut some holes at the bottom of the barrel.  Many outdoor boilers use this (non) technology. That is one of many reasons why they smoke so much.

To prove the above theory to your satisfaction, you can try the following if you have a wood-burning fireplace. Remove the grate. Start a wood fire on the firebrick or steel hearth. It’s not only hard to get burning, when it does start to burn, the flame will be uneven across the wood and it will be a smoky flame. For a second test, place the wood in a steel box with only the top open. That will cause even worse results than the first test.  Now place the wood in a fireplace-designed grate. Nice fire, right?  It is because you have provided air under the grate.

Consider burning on a heavy cast iron grate with an adequate amount of air available to the firebox from below the grate, regardless of what type of wood or coal burning appliance that you choose. Adequate air under the grate helps assure you of a reasonably clean fire with reduced smoke or creosote coming from the flame. A wood fire will last a little longer without a grate at the cost of a dirty fire and more smoke and creosote build-up on every part of your wood or coal burning system, including the firebox, smoke pipe and chimney.

If you want an even cleaner fire with less creosote and soot buildup in the system, provide a secondary air source above the flame. This is known as secondary air. If you provide 80% of the air from below the grate and 20% of the air from above the flame, you can increase the efficiency of the wood burning appliance by as much as 40%. This is because 40% of the energy produced by a wood or coal fire leaves the initial flame in the form of unburned gases. By igniting these gases, you not only get a cleaner burn with less soot and creosote, the efficiency of the wood or coal is increased dramatically, thereby stretching your savings on the purchase of wood or coal.

Go to the pet store, and buy Tap water Conditioner that removes Chlorine from Tap Water. This product is usually made to make aquariums safe for fish. Read the directions for removing the chlorine. Usually a few drops into a zip lock bag with your bathing suit and cold water . Let it soak for a while and then rinse with clear cold water. It seems to do the trick for me. I read this a while ago and have been doing it ever since. Works like a charm Good Luck.

Lake Erie's Central Basin

Lake Erie’s Central Basin The Lake Erie's Central Basin is located from about Huron, Ohio, to Erie, Pennsylvania. The Central Basin is wide open water with no Islands and the average water depth is more than 70 feet, Always think safety in these waters, or anywhere on Lake Erie, because boating conditions may change rapidly. Be sure to follow safe boating tips any time you are on the water and observe good clearance away from fishing boats, freighters and commercial tugs.

Fishing for Seelhead Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Walleyes, Yellow Perch is popular among many boaters. Fishing is best in the dead of summer in Lake Erie’s central basin because as the water warms up in the Western basin many fish species migrate to the central basin and cooler waters. The central basin is particularly noted for it’s Steelhead fishing. Steelhead typically need deeper water and the ave. depth in the central basin is 70ft, perfect habitat for Steel Head. I would like to mention you need to be aware of the central basin’s deed water zone. Here’s what the OHIO dnr has to say about it:

Copied from the OHIO DNR website 7/15/2008 In response to the many questions from anglers, media and those concerned about Lake Erie resources, we present the following fact sheet regarding the central basin "dead zone." What is the central basin "Dead Zone?" The central basin "dead zone" is a layer of cold water at the bottom of the central basin that has little or no dissolved oxygen in it. The central basin is located from about Huron, Ohio, to Erie, Pennsylvania. As waters warm in the central basin, they form three specific layers. The warm surface and upper layer is called the epilimnion, it is characterized by with warm water with good oxygen and plant and animal life. The second layer is called the thermocline, and it is a small layer of rapid temperature change and loss of some oxygen. The bottom layer is known as the hypolimnion; it is cold, has low to moderate oxygen, no sunlight or algae activity, and decomposition by bacteria occurs here. These conditions can occur in most offshore waters deeper than 15-18 meters (49-60 feet) to the bottom of the lake. Hot weather, precipitation and wave action all dictate the onset and length of this condition. It can vary in depth and the amount of oxygen in the hypolimnion across the lake, north and south, east and west as a variable, patchy matrix. These conditions occur every summer from mid to late July through early September. After September this zone breaks down, when the lake becomes all one temperature again, in an event called a turnover. You can also get more information at:

How to Make Money in the Mobile Home Park Business

Although it has taken us literally thousands of pages to describe how to do due diligence and operate mobile home parks effectively, the general theory on how to make money with mobile home park investments could fit on the back of an envelope.

These are the few, simple steps to making money in mobile home parks.

I.              Buy a park in a big market.  It doesn’t have to be New York City, but you need to have a market that has enough size to fill vacant lots and push rents. A mobile home park in a tiny town suffers from few new move-ins and great danger from the employment trends of a couple of large employers. Also, you need prevailing two-bedroom apartment rents in the $700 or so range. If you are looking at a market with two-bedroom apartment rents of $295 per month – where is the affordable housing niche? The apartments, in that case, are already delivering affordable housing – so who needs mobile homes? And how can you push rents in that scenario?

II.             Stick to city water and city sewer, if you can.  If you can avoid private utilities, you can avoid huge potential capital calls. In the absence of private utilities, the worst capital expenditure you will be forced into spending is a few thousand dollars on pothole repair. But if you have a water well or packaging plant or lagoon, the overnight cash you might have to cough up could be $50,000 to $250,000.

III.            Never count any income but lot rent.  You can’t use any mobile home rentals, or note income, or laundry income in your calculations. Only lot rent. Period. Even if you are insist on trying to use it, your bank will stop you by turning down your loan.

IV.           Buy at a 10% cap rate or better. You should only get in the mobile home park business to make money. To make money, you have to put yourself in a position to do that. Buying parks at a 6% or 8% return is starting off behind the 8-ball. All you will do is, maybe, cover your mortgage. You will have no cash flow to reward yourself for all your time, effort and risk. And that’s just not a fair deal to yourself.

V.            Push rents. Relentlessly.  There is no better way to make money in the mobile home park business than to increase rents. Every dollar that you increase rents falls directly to the bottom line. And every dollar of rent you increase equals 10 times more in value. Increasing rents by $1,000 per month yields $120,000 in sales value enhancements, at a 10% cap rate.

VI.           Groom the park into a 20% cap rate.  If you push the rents by about 10% each year, it will take you only until about seven years to have doubled the rent. Can you push rents this aggressively? You bet. At $3,000 or so to move a mobile home, there is a huge barrier to moving out, so tenants will accept pretty much whatever you raise the rents to… within reason!

That’s the entire roadmap to success. It’s not complicated. It’s not hard to understand. Yet people are making errors on this strategy every day. In an effort to buy something quickly, many people will sacrifice their lives and buy a mobile home park that can’t possibly make the owner money even if it tried.

If you respect yourself, you have to hold your ground with our strategic deal points. If the seller won’t sell at a 10% cap rate – walk away from the deal. The same is true with all the other subpoints. Without the correct alignment, the park is going to be only a “tar-baby” that you can’t get rid of. And there is certainly no money in that.

Want to make a million dollars in the mobile home park business? Then don’t try and get fancy and violate all of the successful formulas that have come before you. Follow our plan, and you will have your best chance at winning.

Snacking alongside the eastern shoreline

Maybe what surprised me more than anything was the quantity of foreign tongues I heard about city. Keswick was more cosmopolitan than I had imagined. It had moved with the times, but retained plenty of its old values. Many well known outlets are present, but Keswick maintains deep roots to ancient past.

as appealing as Keswick is however , it is not the big attraction in this part of the planet. That title goes to a place of stunning natural beauty that has electrified artists and poets for centuries, forcing them to return again and again.

Derwent Water lies just outside Keswick city centre in the north of Lake District countrywide Park, England. Its picture postcard looks have captivated audiences for centuries. Hire a ship and view the lake from a different point of view. It's dotted with enticing little islands craving to be explored. Ship hire is inexpensive and great fun for all the family.

The journey approaching Derwent Water incorporates an array of green, gentle hills parted by deep, lowly valleys. As I travelled northwards from Windermere along the A591, the clouds suddenly broke and bright sunlight flooded the valley, chasing away dark shadows settled over the massive ground. The valley appeared calm and content.

Rydal Water passed serenely by ; the road ran adjacent to the north shore of the lake. Across the water, families picnicked beside the grassy banks ; oldsters and children paddled in the cool, shallow waters.

The route advanced towards the mass of Helvellyn and its 950-metre summit. Its huge presence a draw for walkers and ramblers attracted to the Lake District across the year. I remember conquering the peak myself one summer's day many years ago on a college trip, staying over in Patterdale. I looked in awe, in the same way as when visiting as a child.

Lake Thirlmere was reminiscent of some of Canada's great lakes, if a little smaller. Enveloped by tall trees, transient openings offered a tantalising glance of an exquisite stretch of water. As the road snaked next to the eastern coast, several little boats were visible cruising the open water.

The elevated mountain road broke from the undulating hills and offered a glimpse of Keswick. The entire city sat snug among the light knolls, guardians of the village.

For centuries, those hills and mountains have overlooked Derwent Water and its neighbouring town of Keswick, evolve from medieval beginnings. Modern touches are evident throughout, but Keswick will always retain its traditional roots.
